Robert J Erdmann does more than design and manage custom woodwork for his clients. As senior designer and project manager, Robert leverages over three decades of experience, and offers tested and trusted expertise to cultivate best practices for today’s custom woodwork projects.

Notable work: 3-time winner of AWI’s prestigious “Award of Excellence” featured in Design Solutions magazine; millwork for important clients with luxury homes upwards of 40,000 sf; boardrooms for Starstruck Studios and SC Johnson among others; highrise condo projects including penthouses; furniture and woodwork for B&B’s and residences on the National Register of Historic Places.

Early on, Robert discovered that he would have an interesting life. Yet fifty five years on, he admits, “I never thought my life would be as rewarding as it is”. Robert owes it all to the people he met and worked with, and the people around him today.

Most of Robert’s long working days are filled with drawing, meeting with clients, and working hard at the refinement of woodworking excellence. “Peeling away that which is non-essential, I am inspired by the simple things: a piece of wood, the brief encounter of a stranger, the relationship of lines to spaces, or a fresh bowl of fruit… these may not all be things you think of while planning a project… yet then again… the simple things are about living.”
